There are many companies which offer SEO services and they differ in module of service. These companies can be found online and the service comes in packages which vary from one company to the next.
Different companies have different ways and means of payment methods. The various payment methods include pay per performance, where the client is allowed to pay for service based on the level of performance. SEO is about increasing traffic the more visible the site is the more the client is charged. In this arrangement a commission is calculated and paid to the SEO firm.
The second mode of payment is pay per click; here the SEO Company is paid a certain amount for every click on to the site. Lastly is the pay per visitor which means the firm is paid for every user who visits the site.

SEO companies can be reputable but some cannot be this is due to the fact that some can be scammers.
